Eastwood Park

Eastwood Park are a leading specialist training provider for healthcare engineering, estates and facilities management in the UK and beyond.

They enjoy a growing international reputation for delivering quality healthcare and estates training.

Eastwood Park’s requirements have a unique twist! In addition to the training facility, EP is also a wedding and conference centre. The two sides of the business are run separately but work closely together. Delegates attending training courses can also book accommodation as part of their package.

Eastwood Park already had an API in place to publish the events scheduled on their TAS training platform provided by ES, to their front end web pages, but the customers could only make a booking by calling the sales team or sending an email to be picked up in business hours.

This meant the customer having to wait for booking confirmation and payments to be taken and the sales team having to process the call or email by adding the customer to the system then making the relevant booking on the customers behalf.

Eastwood Park wanted to give their customers the flexibility to book courses and accommodation themselves round the clock from any internet enabled device whilst saving their sales teams time processing the bookings received by phone and email.

"We don’t anticipate large numbers of online bookings, however, in a time where the convenience of ordering online is so prevalent, being able to allow customers to order their course place and accommodation when it’s convenient for them, even outside normal UK business hours is a real bonus."
Steven Jeans – Lawes, IT Projects & Systems Co-ordinator, Eastwood Park

The API provided the perfect solution. ES worked closely with the Eastwood Park web team 1Zero to deliver capability for the customer to book and pay for their course with the option of adding accommodation to the order all via the Eastwood Park training website with no need for admin intervention.

"Because the website code and the API handles adding a user, a course booking and flags if accommodation required, there is no need for any manual intervention from our sales or administration team. When booking a course place the customer can make a payment through our website integration with Worldpay and the TAS booking is confirmed if payment is successful."
